If you're pregnant and you eat a bad food, or contract an illness that makes you have diarrhea, drink a lot of fluids. Dehydration in pregnant women is particularly concerning, because it can affect her baby and she may need intravenous fluids.

It is a wise idea to be tested for any potential sexually transmitted diseases when you are pregnant. Sexually transmitted diseases when left untreated can cause many serious health problem for both you and your unborn child. There are a wide variety of tests that can be taken to check for these diseases. If the results show that you are infected with one, your baby may need to be delivered through a C-section.

Make sure you stay healthy while you're pregnant, avoid drinking and smoking at all times. Certain habits, like drugs, alcohol and smoking, can cause dangerous effects to you and your baby.
